Luis Har’s Art

Luis had a dream to create a huge statue on which the word “HOPE” would be written in the colors of childhood.
The goal of creating the statue is to spread hope, light and color.

HOPE
to give strength to all the People of Israel and the families of the hostages, to believe that everything is possible.

LIGHT

to spread good in every direction and to catch every eye.

COLOR

to connect to the innocence of childhood within each of us, the colors will attract children as if to a huge game.The children will connect and, later set their thoughts and emotions free, through the painting.

This is essentially how a huge HOPE circle of optimism, rebirth and happiness is created.

Our Family's Story

Luis was brutally kidnapped from his home in a kibbutz near the Gaza border on October 7th, 2023 along with his partner, her brother, sister and niece. He was extricated from captivity in Gaza after 129 excruciating days.

Today tries to remain optimistic and to smile,

at least outwardly, although his heart is not whole.

Luis believes that we all need to grasp onto HOPE to return all of the hostages and to end the war and the sorrow inflicted on all involved.

The necklace of hope was created for Luis by Oriya Tzahari as part of his healing journey (all proceeds will be donate towards Luis and his family's recovery).

Luis thus wishes that everyone will have HOPE in their hearts, and if possible, on their necks, with hopes for more beautiful days.
